What do you get when you start by playing with trains, add an engineering degree, 3d design, a small machine shop, and a fair amount of patience? You get me!
I build, repair, repaint, kitbash, scratchbuild, and occasionally even design model trains. I'm not a professional model railroader; I have a day job that's completely unrelated. I do however sell some of my work.
How did this all start?
Maybe this all started with a train ride. Maybe it started with a sheet of plywood and a figure eight track. Or perhaps you could blame it on the wonderful, if slightly curmudgeonly hobby shop owner who challenged me to build a kit that was just a set of drawings and some stripwood.
